Traveling this week

Sorry my friends, I didn't realize that I would receive emails because I haven't posted in a week or so.

I have been traveling, traveled from Georgia to Tennessee to Missouri, to visit some friends and take care of some business.  Now I'm hanging out in Tennessee for a few more days, trying to explain to my parents what a daytrader is, and why I HAVE to be on the computer from 9:30am-4pm.  I don't think they understand still......  But at least they stopped bugging me.

I've had some good trading days, mostly some DEGH, and then some bad days too, UMNG.  Sometimes the tips that I receive just don't work out the way I would like.  That is why you should always have your trading rules, and follow them.   And remember a profit is a profit.  Even though we all dream of those 1,000% days, (and I had a 2,252% day with VYEY), those are the exceptions.

Anways.... Hope everyone has been having a great week, and make sure you hit me up on here or facebook.  I love all of ya'll.

Out for a few days

Well, to all my friends, I'm out for a few days.  A friend from high school passed away on Sunday.  She battled breast cancer for 10 years, and left behind her husband and 2 beautiful children.

It's times like this, that no amount of money daytrading, no money from working, or anything material, can make a difference.  We only have one life to live, and people who are catty, or workaholics, are missing out on life.  I'm hugging my loved ones extra tight this week, because tomorrow is not guaranteed.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day, and please, when you go home tonight, hug your children, siblings, parents, spouse, and friends.  In life, that is all that matters, not who has the biggest house, or the most money in the end.  I bet my friend Lori, would give up all the money in the world, to spend another day with her family, and vice versa.

This week

Oh my goodness, this week has been so busy.  My best friend came in town.  We've been friends since we were 7, so we have been catching up and exploring the city together.  She knows I daytrade, but she never realized exactly what it was until this week.

She thought it was excited that a stock like DEGH went up, and I made so much money with that.  Then, she saw how much I lost yesterday with UMNG, and realized how risky it is.  It is a risk......  I have to agree with that, it's kind of like gambling.  But, when a stock like DEGH is found, and my account just goes higher and higher, it's exhilerating!!!

Anyway, I hope everyone had a great week of trading.  It's still cold here, but it's SuperBowl weekend.  I need to go ahead and place my bets before tomorrow!!!

Weekend

Well, I spent almost the entire weekend relaxing.  The weather here was beautiful!  Not a cloud in the sky, so I walked around the historic district, in all those art museums, and funky shops.  Just my best friend and I, and then came home to jump start on the week.

I just can't believe I really didn't look at the stock market at all this weekend.  I guess I needed a break from it, so I can go in tomorrow, and be ready.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!!

How I pick my picks

So many people ask me how I find my stock picks, especially since I have a full-time job (mostly at night), and still have time to daytrade.  I guess it helps that I'm addicted to the stock market, and can't step away from my computer for too long.  And I apologize in advance to Ahmad, who asked me to blog for him, and tell his followers how I find my picks.  I promise, I will do that very soon.

I use equity feed, and then I also use twitter to find out who is promoting it.  Seems like a wacky combination, but different promoters have different reasons for promoting.  Some, it's because there is dilution going on in the company.  Some, just genuinely has news to share.

Equity feed is pretty cool because I can watch the market, and set alerts for what is moving.  I don't want to bore ya'll with too much of that, but basically I set the scanner to go off when a stock hits 10% above the lowest price of the day, and then I watch VERY closely.  If you don't have Level 2, you really do need it, if you plan on watching.

In between all of this, I like to chat with all of my new friends on facebook and twitter, and see what everyone else is playing.  Usually I can jump in on someone else's ride too.  I also set goals for myself, for instance, if I make $500 this week, I will buy myself a bottle of Cakebread or Silver Oak, to enjoy for the weekend.  I'm very driven when it comes to that, and have every intention of drinking the finest wine every weekend!

So I guess it's back to my stocks;  I hope more stocks will be moving soon.  I love finding those stocks that go up 5,000% in one day, although that's pretty rare.

And thanks to everyone who already viewed my blog.  I might even put some more pictures up for ya'll.

My First Posting

So..... I guess I created this because so many of my friends were pressuring me to.  I guess they think I'm not boring, which I always thought I was.

I think of myself as a lucky girl, and no, my real name is not Lucky, it's Drae.  I am a girly girl, but can hang with the boys with the best of them.  I love all sports, especially betting on them, but I really enjoy seeing them live, and not on tv.  Ice hockey, football, baseball, girls football, you name it, and I'm there!  I have lots of favorite teams, and they change everyday probably, mostly cause I will get bored with a team.

I'm lucky with stocks too.  I hate to say this, but I scan and look at charts, but my best successes are the ones that I just get a feeling about.  Maybe it's women's intuition, maybe it's craziness, but I'll look at a stock, and do a search on twitter, to make sure it's not being promoted like crazy, and then start my DD on them.

And yes, I always do DD on every stock, because there's so many promoters out there that will tell you things like, reverse merger in the works, or big LOI is being announced today, or things like that.  Isn't that insider trading?  I always think of insider trading as when someone has inside information, and the general public doesn't have it.

Well anyway, enough about that.  The stock market only has 45 more minutes til they ring that bell, which makes me sad.  But then, I think, it's 5:00pm somewhere, so it's time to head to the clubhouse to mingle with my friends.  We have happy hour at the clubhouse everyday, sometimes with wine, sometimes they change it up to red bulls and coca-cola, for those who have to work at night.  I'm hoping tonight is going to be a wine night, but let's save that for another story.

Love you, all of my friends and followers  xoxoxo
